Just wanted to thank all of the fans and the players from this evenings double-header exhibition between the Hot Shots Inferno and the CCM Phantoms at Hot Shots Arena. It was a great Western PA Pro match-up. The Inferno, who are getting ready for their first Pro season in PIHA, looked to tune up before there first Piha league weekend. The Phantoms (formerly ghostriders) have been playing in the TORHS PRO series and are looking to continue gathering points in the season standings and gain experiance for nationals. The first game displayed unbelievable goaltending at both ends. The Inferno jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead but the Phantoms came back in the third to tie. Neither team scored in the extra period.
The second game featured different goaltenders and was full of offense. The Phantoms jumped out to a quick 3-1 lead only to see the Inferno come back to take a 5-3 lead into the third period. The Phantoms came back late to close it within one and had many close oppertunities late but came up short with the Inferno holding on to win 5-4.
It was great to see semi-pro inline competition in the Pittsburgh area again. I'm sure the Inferno will represent our half of the state well this season in PIHA.. For more information on the inferno and Hot Shots arena, go to www.hotshotsarena.com ... The CCM Phantoms who have been playing in TORHS will have teams competing in NARCH, 2HOT4ICE and AAU in 2005. We will look to join one of the various pro league next season. Please stand by for info on the Phantoms.. We will have an announcement on our new website within the next few weeks. for more info call team General Manager Charles Gamble (724) 355 0081
