I know this question doesn't regard Pro "Inline" Hockey but I have to ask... Does anyone have any opinions on the NHLs newest proposal? Sounds pretty fair to me. If the nhlPA is so confident there system will work why not take Bettmans offer and prove it? If his compromise has holes or hidden statements at least there should be enough of a framework there to start something new. Does anyone else have any info?? Also... different subject, when is the xIHL playoffs? have they been rescheduled? did they already happen? are they cancelled? Why are none of the semi-pro legues updating their websites? (okay, mlrh does enough to get by.)

The announcement just came out yesterday...the Play-offs will be held Sat Feb 26th and Sunday Feb 27th. There will only be three teams in the play-offs. The NJ werewolves, the CT Thunder, and the Garden State Ottakringer.

The NJ Werewolves will recieve a bye into the finals as they finished the regular season in first place. The semi-finals will be held between the CT Thunder and the Ottakringer, in Glastonbury Ct. on Sat. Feb. 26th at 7:30 pm, in a single game elimination, and the finals will be one game, held at Extremes in NJ on Sunday Feb. 27th at 1:00 pm the next day,(so goes the current schedule) between the winner of Saturday's game and the Werewolves.

At least once the playoffs are done, XIHL can't suspend any more teams indefinitely.

I believe that rule is common to all the semi-pro leagues, so no need to single out the XIHL for their actions....when people drive hours to play and the other teams do not show up....it get's pretty aggrevating, not to mention the promotion done by a lot of the team owners and managers for those games which is basically done for nothing.

As if it's any easier for the Thunder. Play home then (with a win) go to Jersey, then drive back to CT that night.

Your right about that. Either team would have traveling to do, but it's part of hockey at this level. If people have such trouble with the traveling then they should just join there local house league.
