is there one? or is everything getting made up as it goes?? philly rage were supposed to play delaware this weekend... is that still on? or no because thier 2 star players are playing piha this weekend?? this is why you can't have players playing in 2 leagues at the same time.

According to what players were told, Delaware did not have the rink time for the MLRH game as they were booked solid, and Feasterville was not an alternative because of the ECRHA All-Star event.
I thought Featerville was not an alternative anyway....due to the policy of only "non contact" inline hockey..(or Torhs)..

I thought that to be the case too, but according to the same information I received, they will be hosting at least two more MLRH games.
Only open rink contact allowed? ...../wtimages/icons/smile.gif

My dad is the coach of the Philly Rage and I know that we have a schedule for all of our games, but I'm not sure about the others.

MLRH is trying to schedule games at our rink for dates they advertised but they are running into a small issue. Money is problem numero uno. The second one is they want to schedule a game in the middle of AAU winter nationals. Third they also want to schedule a game at the same time of a Growl game. HMMM should I bump the Growl who pays their bills and is a great tennant. Tough one!!!!!
Also official word from our rink is we have not had any contact with MLRH regarding supposed games at our building. Nobody has scheduled these dates!!!!

I thought they were not going to allow any more full contact hockey in Feasterville because of issues with the boards?

Instead of praying for a schedule, perhaps regular web page updates would be nicer. How many times does a fan need to see the same page? How often does ESPN bring new news (especially if a sport is in season)?
I'm having trouble believing that roller hockey's future is in the hands of the right people. Consider it this way, football ended yesterday. Right now, what sporting events will they show on Sports Center until baseball starts up? We need the leadership of someone with an obvious direction, excellent business strategy and structure, and deep enough pockets to get the ball moving. Hypothetical question: "How many NHLers may have considered staying in the US to play roller hockey during the lockout?" The answer is no one because roller hockey owners and directors don't have such relationships in the sports world. We also didn't capitalize on that possibility. How many news agencies would have reported if Brett Hull skated with the local professional roller hockey team?
We need more professional looking webpages to begin with. Who in their right mind would invest in a league with a webpage I could have created in 5th grade? Statistics and information must be better researched and presented as well; there are plenty of false statements throughout the articles (including in some player?s hockey experiences). Why in heaven's name would a "professional" league need an outside statistics program (a heavy supplier of house league statistics) to publish their league statistics? These concerns are only the tip of the iceberg.

The first (and I my mind, most important) item that is need are professional looking rinks. If you can't seat at least 1000 people and have full locker rooms, along with the other niceities, then no one will invest big bucks in the sport.
While I have not seen every roller hockey rink, I have been to over 100 ice rinks that have the facilities to host a pro looking team, I have not visited one roller rink that does.

The first thing I thought of when the NHL lockout was final was "opportunity". Even if we got 1 game a week on ESPN2 showing at 1:00am. That would be huge ! Guess our sport can't compete with spelling bees, scrabble, bass fishing, tree chopping, etc... (kidding)
After the door closes on this opportunity, roller hockey higher ups need to focus on the X-games. There have been rumors that the XIHL have a connection there and I am hoping that is true. It is obvious that this sport will never reach NBA,NHL,NFL,MLB or even MLS status so our pinnacle would be the X-games. Our sport seems like a great fit for the games and the games would open up so many doors for our sport.
