View Full Version : CCM Vector PF10
I havent heard too much about CCM inline skates. I used to use their ice skates years ago(at least 7 years ago) and hated the laceing system(with the black straps from the heel to the top) and how their fitting was. But their vector pf10 skates look nice to me. I also have a size 12 foot so i need a lighter skate and they are supposed to be light.
Anyone hear anything good/bad about this skate??? They are pretty expensive so im guessing they are a good quality.

They're great skates. Unfortunately they won't be released until March at the earliest I've been told. My inline team has a sponsorship w/ CCM and all of our players are chomping at the bit for the PF10's and Reeboks new stuff. As I said however, it will be a while till we see either for retail.

I thought they were out already. I just recently picked up a pair of the PF8s and I think they're awesome. I could only imagine what the PF10s will be like.

To make a long story short, I'm told the delay is due mainly to CCM's late consideration to remove the micro-bearings and blue flame wheels. Nobodys sure of the reason why but it is certain that they won't be available to the public for a while. One theory is that the micro-bearings are the distinct reason why the pf10's are lighter than any other skate, however micro-bearings are considered obsolete in most circles now a days. Removing the microbearings may make the 10's comparable in weight to the mission heliums. Another theory is that the original wheels are defective...This is why they will be released in all likelyhood a year after the projected date. Most online stores have them listed but if you call, they'll tell you they have no idea when they'll be available.

dam that stinks. I thought they were out allready and i could go try them on. I used to have micro bearings in my missions and i got rid of them for some bsb swiss because the shop at my rink stoped selling micro bearing wheels. If i got these skates i would prob put my swiss brearings in anyway. this sucks

I have the PF8's and love them. The "lock" on the laces is a little tricky to get used to. And is a solution to a problem I never had, but I can deal with it. They are light and most importantly fit my foot great.
I was holding out for the 10's and couldn't wait any longer. I bought this pair to replace my Externos...which replaced and OLD falling apart pair of Tacks. I guess I am a CCM guy.
i read on some other forum boards that kids have them and have been using them for a coupel months allready. I guess they are lieing or ina diff country or something. Im going to a shop this week to find out wuts up with them

Maybe the youth sizes are available. I doubt it though. The only ones I've ever seen were on the Team Rink Rat PRO guys like Gerry St. Syr.
