High School Roller Hockey

The PIRHL has grown in 5 years from 6 teams/schools to 76 teams, 29 school districts. The league features 9 tiers with 4 different levels (Elementary, Middle School, JV and Varsity) The PIRHL with the help of Mike Jacobs of Marple Sports Arena and Ted Bochanski of the Delaware County High School League pulled off the 2004 PA High School State Championships, east meets the west, which was won by Allderdice HS from Pittsburgh, PA.

2005 State Championships are scheduled for April 10th & 11th in Pittsburgh, PA

Congrats to the Penn HS games. A quick question for you.... why the long time table between now and the Championship?

We are in MOIHA, (Missouri) our HS division doesnt even start till Feb and ends in April. So when any tyrpe of Nationals come about they are in shape and ready to head out for the games. I am proud to say that the school my son plays for and attends Oakville HS won State, and AAUs' and was missing three of their key players at NARCh, finished second to Parkway South who play the game of the year. They EARNED the title. PWS in MOIHA finished in 4th I think.

One of the cool things I find here is in our league the players who won all received &quot;State Championship&quot; rings. The kids all wear them proudly.

Meery Xmas and Happy New Year.

I think one of the reasons is PA's High School season stretches from Nov thru March for all divisions except Elementary which is split in 2 seasons.
