Try Out Dates & Times

The New Jersey Roller Hockey Association is a non-profit hockey club affiliated with the Tab Ramos Sports Center that seeks to develop advanced boys and girls hockey players in a positive environment that challenges each player at their highest level through fair and open evaluation and team assignment, professional administration and coaching at the highest level of competition in league, regional, and national tournament play 10 months a year.

The cost will be $10 per player. All players must be registered a half hour before the start of each try out. Listed below you will see try out dates & times for each age division.

Atom (Under 8) 1996 or later Sat. Oct. 2nd @ 5pm
Mite (Under 10) 1994 or later Sat. Oct. 2nd @ 5pm
Squirt (Under12) 1992 or later Sat. Oct. 2nd @ 6:30pm
PeeWee (Under 14) 1990 or later Sat. Oct. 2nd @ 6:30pm
Bantams (Under 16) 1988 or later Sat Oct. 2nd @ 8pm
Midget (Under 18) 1986 or later Sat Oct. 2nd @ 8pm
Junior (Under 21) 1983 or later Sat Oct. 2nd @ 9:30pm
Adult Division (18 or Older) Sat Oct. 2nd @ 9:30pm

New Jersey Roller Hockey Association Travel Team Information

1. Players will participant in a series of monthly tournaments ran by TORHS America earning points and possibliy becoming ECC Champions. For more information on the TORHS ECC please check them out on the web. www.TORHS.com

2. After the tournament season, teams will then travel to Milwaukee Wisconsin and participant in a National Tournament playing roller hockey teams from across the country and have a chance to win a national championship at either a ?AAA?, ?AA?, or ?A? division. Playing division determined by placing during the tournament season in ECC Conference.

3. All teams will play under the club called New Jersey Roller Hockey Association. All NJRHA teams will practice once a week at the Tab Ramos Sports Center. Practice schedule TBA. All practices will be determined based on rink time and players availability.

4. The cost for the year will be $985 per player. Parents will have the option to pay up front or pay over three months (see payment plan below). The price includes the following,
A) 10 tournaments (9 regionals, & 1 National Championship). Tournament Schedule listed below.
B) 37 One Hour Practices
C) Home & Away uniforms with pants for tournaments only
D) 2 Practice jerseys
E) Professional coaches & trainers
Head Coach: Chris Gosha (Current head coach for the Pro NJ Assault, current General Manager and Hockey Director for the Tab Ramos Sports Center, former NJ Sharks player, former MLRH NJ Sandstorm coach, former trainer for the NIKE Bad Apples)
Trainers & Assistant Coaches: Frank Amodeo (Current NJ Assault Player & Tab Ramos Sports Center Youth Instructional Trainer) Mike Downey (Current NJ Assault Player & Tab Ramos Sports Center team trainer) Bill Moy (Current NJ Assault Trainer) Geoff Lind (Current NJ Assault player) & many more to be named later.
D) Partial sponsorship with Hyper Wheels. Players will receive a discount on wheels and bearings.

Parents Responsibilities
1. Parents will be responsible for all travel cost.
2. Please beware there will be some tournaments where you stay over night.
3. Will be responsible for all players equimpment.
Tab Ramos Sports Center Will Be Doing The Following:
1. Cut down cost on practice from $140 per hour to $60 per hour. This rate will only be for NJRHA teams
2. Allow NJRHA to run raffles to help fundraise to help cost on travel and cost.
3. Provide practice equipment. (Pucks and Cones)

Payment Plan & Price Breakdown
Total cost is $985 per player. The entire fee may be paid up front by Oct 22nd or pay 3 monthly payments.
1st Payment of $335 due on Oct. 22nd
2nd Payment of $335 due on Nov 26th
3rd Payment of $315 due on Jan 6th

1 Winter Cup @ $595= $595
1 National Championship $695= $695
37 One Hour Practices @ $60 per= $2220
Player Uniforms $150 x 9= $1350

Total= $8860
Divided By 9= $985 per player
