I just wanted to share a little news I heard today about a good friend of mine. You all might know him as TTplayer. The poor thing, he dislocated his shoulder. Once he told me, I wondered just how could a big, strong hockey player like Ying dislocate his shoulder playing. I though, hmmm, a nasty check into the boards? No, that wasn't it. A cheap two hander from behind? No, not that either. Maybe it was a knock down drag out old fashioned hockey fight, nope. Hmmm, how did my good friend hurt himself. Well finally the truth came out. He didn't injure himself playing, he was injured refing!!!! While skating backwards, he tripped over the blue line!! While I never want to see him hurt, I just couldn't stop laughing. REFING!! What a geek! THE BLUE LINE, HA HA HA!!!!!! I can picture it now, there goes Ying, zebra costume and all, trying to be cool, then, BAM, on his ass. Too funny friend. Now Ying, you know I love ya, and I told you I was forced to let the inline hockey central community aware of you accident, so don't be too upset. I hope you are recovering well. Take care of that shoulder Buddy. REFING, BLUE LINE!!!!! It's killing me!!!! LOL

First off Ying hope you have a speedy recovery. You may want to be on the lookout for that email from Al. LOL. I just want to know when you learned how to skate backwards ? Did Dirty teach you, cause he just learned this year too ?
Get well soon.

The Yings were obviously not meant to REF. Didn't Bri get injured while ref'n last fall? Good luck with a speedy recovery.

Be careful how you answer that Ying. This is when and how the "dirty" stuff starts. You've been warned.

I'm a referee, and it isn't as hard as it looks. We get booed and we have to put up with players, coaches, parents and other spectators in the stands that won't shut up. I'd like to see you go to an officials seminar, take the test and PASS it, and put up with everyone else.
DON'T MAKE FUN OF REFS.

Easy girlfriend, easy. TTPlayer and I are friends. At least he thinks we are. It was all in fun.

PS ...you would be surprised I think as to just how many in here are, or have in the past, been certified as refs.
Hmmm....maybe that means most of us are certifiable.....more to the point .....
