Hello out there roller hockey world. We would like to give everyone an update on our progress and reaffirm some important information regarding State Wars. We seem to get alot of calls and emails asking the same questions, so hopefully we can help everyone fully understand how the State Wars tryouts will be held.

We are continuing to get more and more players everyday signing up on our mailing list at www.statewarshockey.com Please continue to pass the word on to everyone about State Wars and our unique concept. We don't want anyone to say, "I would've went to my state tryout but I didn't know about it". We want EVERYONE to be fully educated about State Wars and specific tryout information.

Each State will have 1 state tryout. This tryout will take place at 1 facility on 1 specific weekend. The locations and dates of these tryouts will be announced in the next month. Players will pre-register online at our website once these dates are announced. Specific times for each "birth years" tryout will be announced 1-2 weeks prior, much like a tournament announcing game times.

The United States Roller Hockey Commission (USRHC) will send out members of its staff to run each tryout. Different staff members will be sent out to all different locations, the identity of each specific staff will be kept confidential until their arrival. Each staff sent will be made up of some of the best roller hockey coaches/players in the world. They will have no affiliation to the state in question and will be the most unbiased group of talent judger's possible. The State Directors WILL NOT be the ones choosing these teams. The top 10 skaters and top 2 goalies in each "birth year" will be chosen by the very professional USRHC staff, with no favoritism or hidden agendas. This idea may actually upset some people but we feel it is the only true and honorable way to make these selections.

The State Directors will make many decisions; with our approval, regarding specific coaching staffs. Who will coach which specific "birth year" WILL NOT be determined until after the teams are selected by the USRHC. The State Directors have already been instructed to incorporate as many different coaches, asst. coaches, and team managers, from as many different organizations and cities as possible. This is the only way to insure that each state tryout will be a STATEWIDE EVENT.

We are extremely excited to have the cooperation of the 40 or so very motivated and respected State Directors that have been appointed so far. As soon as our main website is launched we will announce specific tryout dates and State Director information and contacts. Until then please keep spreading the word about STATE WARS HOCKEY.

Any questions feel free to email me or call one of our offices at either 516-825-3730 or 562-920-4267.

Thanks,

Tim McManus
