Hi Folks,

Today I noticed that tonight's California lottery stands at $30 million dollars.

It got me to thinking; if money was no object, what would be the best way to start a new pro league that the majority of IHC's readers would get behind? (No ramps, a puck instead of a ball, and no funky skates.)

I don't normally post, but i couldn't resist the chance - How about paying the people behind the scenes first then the players and having it owned by Richard Graham and some rock stars along with some really wicked names....wait a minute wasn't that the World Inline Mens Pro League (WIMP) wasn't the Maryland Maniacs the first team in??....I'm normally good at remembering all this but someone back me up?!?!?! (Can you smell the sarkazm!)

I caught a few gullible folks with that one... but, kind man that I am, I didn't name any names. /wtimages/icons/shocked.gif

I think they pick the lottery winner in about an hour and a half. I particularly like your idea of paying the people behind the scenes first. I'll start by giving myself a million dollar bonus for thinking of such a great idea. Then I'll hire myself as the NIHL (good suggestion, Roger) Czar and pay myself two million dollars per year. That leaves $27 million.

Let's see. What rock stars should we get? Well, I know that the bass player for Hootie and the Blowfish used to play inline hockey, but I don't know if you can call him a rock star. I'm open to suggestions. However, I will want a league caterer.
