This IS big news! Thanks for sharing it. When I get a new laptop and (I hope) recover the data from my former laptop's hard drive, I'll update the Home Page with this news.

The news that there will be a single unified World Inline Hockey Championship in 2002 really is great news. So too is the news that the IIHF and FIRS will be working to unify most other aspects of our great sport.

For too long the full potential of inline hockey has been held back by the predictable conflicting ideals of having two world bodies. If the unifying plans outlined come to pass then the future for inline hockey is truly amazing!! However, I think it would be wrong to build up hopes of any appearance in the Olympics in the near future. The Olympics is an entirely different mountain to climb.
