women's leagues - new york city area

HELP! - My wife recently moved to New York from Southern California, and she's having trouble finding in-line teams and leagues in the New York area. She's willing and able to play at any level; with men's or women's or mixed teams. In SoCal, she played with the Black Widows, and the Mission Vixens. She has much experience with NARCH tournaments and the like. She also plays and coaches ice hockey, and coaches Men's varsity roller hockey. Please respond with any suggestions.

i think it would be difficult to find a women's team, but she could probably find a league somewhere. If i am not mistaken I believe Chelsea Piers may have a roller rink. If not your best bet would be to head out to long island and find a league out there. It maybe a hike but it also maybe worth it

Chelsea Piers is basically a joke, even to me - never mind to her - but thanks for the response.

She's had some success today calling around New Jersey - they apparently take inline hockey far more seriously than New York. She called about 10 numbers on the Island off a website she found, and every single team and League she tried to contact was no longer operating. :(
