The AAU Nationals start on Friday morning in St Louis and yet the schedule is supposed to be out Tuesday night. Pretty damn late for a national tournament.

HOw about the deadline to enter was July 22 and has been posted that way for 6-9 months; recognizing that this is the season for Roller Nationals, AAU decided to use a late deadline, so that all teams could be accommodated. They still had 30-40 teams sign up in the last 3 days.

Hey Phil...
Which 20-under team are me and Colby on?

Well if that's the reason then just release the schedule the day of the event, then they can get more late teams.

That schedule is the worst I've seen. bet they'll be one revision after another. Keith must have it in for some teams. East Coast Havoc has a game that's not over until around midnight and then has to play their next game at 6:30 AM. OUch!!!! might as well just sleep at the rink. LMAO

Been there done that...just something you have to deal with sometimes. Not everyone can have their way with the schedule. You just gotta play past it.

I think AAU is on the right track, they have made a new AAU record for having 200+ teams entered. In my opinion AAU will be the tournament everyone goes to in a few years. Everybody wants to wear TEAM USA on their jersey and you can get that by playing NARCh or TORHS. And inline hockey will be an olympic exhibition event next summer games(2008) so i would'nt blame anyone for switching to AAU.

It'd be nice if it was true but Inline is not going to be in the Olympics in 2008. I wish it would be but USARS is just totally inept to get it there. And this isn't a knock on AAU since they have nothing to do with it. Yeha they act on behalf of usars to the point they can, but they cant do it all and USARS doesn't even have a head guy for roller hockey anymore. they are just getting a kickback from all the memberships AAU seels for them. They absolutely dont put a penny into the game and even bitch to Keith and Barry for every expense they try to get reimbursed for.

Again, we would LOVE to see this awesome game get in the olympics but until usars really wants it there and does the necessary stuff with the IOC and USOC, the AAU or anyone else will only get us so far. I wish AAU, NARCH or TORHS or someone else could get the ngb status and all its rights and privelegs away from usars. If you doubt me, call them in Nebraska and speak to one of the 4 employees in the home office. Go ahead.

You know it will go the way of ice and basketball that very few 18 and under will be on the team. You can't be pro and aau at the same time. And not all on the FIRS or IIHL teams were AAU were they? They are the ones who will be at the future games.
