PCRHL (that currently operates out of Marple) already has the same. They are an affiliate of ECRHA. If you would like to make a bid to move this league, please do so immediately. You can submit to me at [email protected] and I will pass it on to the PCRHL right away. Kalish will read this thread anyway.

To start another league so close would not be a benefit to the sport. I suggest you bid to move the entire league already in existance.

I have attempted to get the PCRHL to move all if not most of its games from the Marple Sports Arena in Broomall to the Sportsplex in Feasterville. Marple, in my opinion, is a sub par rink because it is no where near full size. The Sportsplex is full size and so is the rink in Voorhees. The problem with the Sportsplex, as I have been told, is that it is too far (an hour away) for some teams such as Widener while Marple is no more than 45 minutes for any team (and only about 30 mins average drive for all teams). Voorhees will probably extend travel times as well but maybe not as much as the Sportsplex would. A solution would be to hold games at all three rinks depending on who is playing who. The only downside is the logistics it would require to set up the refs and schedule. However, if all three rinks are willing to provide the refs and all three rinks are willing to work with PCRHL on the rink time cost it might just work. Any thoughts?

I can tell you that if PCRHL were interested in playing games out of hte Sportsplex w would love to have them. I am sure Rebecca has already had a conversation with Church on the issue and that if it were going to happen it would be mutually beneficial. If getting referees is a problem I can say most rinks have their own officials, but the question would then be are they qualified to do the College games. It may be difficult for you to get all three rinks to coordinate a schedule together being that all three rinks are general competitors with each other. I can speak on behalf of the Sportsplex and say we love having the college games in there because they always bring Rebecca's smile.

Actually I have been the one in contact with Mike Churchville about it and he has told me that the sportsplex is very interested in having the PCRHL play out of there.

Rebecca and the ECRHA have little to do with the PCRHL. The PCRHL is generally run independently from the ECRHA and NCRHA and is only "affiliated" with them which really doesn't mean much. The PCRHL doesn't even use the NCRHA/ECRHA rule book or referees so qualifications haven't been an issue in the past. Rebecca therefore also would not be at any of the games. It might not be too difficult to coordinate game schedules between all 3 rinks if all three were to leave timeslots open on sunday nights....then it might work.

I know the ECRHA and Rebecca are working to create a closer working relationship and affiliation between ECRHA and the PCRHL though.
