It's only been one week! Since PIHA has ended, I have heard about 5 or 6 different rumors regarding the status of several teams. Most of them are not true. Why is this happening! and who is starting this. It's ridiculous when you hear things that make no sense. One rumor that I will put and end to is the one regarding the Growl moving to NJ. We play out of the South Jersey area and don't plan on moving anywhere else. The owner of NTB(Nike Team Breakaway) and TBS(Team Breakaway Swoosh) is fully committed to next season. I effects me cause we play out of the area , not the growl. I have had many conversations with anthony flynn regarding this. All he told me was that they were looking at there organization and what's in their best interest...that's all...there was no mention to me about a move. I think the Pirhanas who had try outs for their PIHA team at the sportsplex expect to play out the Sportsplex, hence starting the rumors that the Growl is moving. I just don't want people thinking that we are out.

Let me clear this up further....The Piranhas had a tryout at the Sportsplex this past Thursday. This tryout was for a tournament team for Torhs for the next season. Their tryout was not associated to PIHA according to the Sportsplex. I also will confirm that the Growl is still welcome at the Sportsplex and we are all looking forward to their return. The reason I can say and confirm all of these facts is that I am one of the Asst. Directors at the building and I also work for the Growl as their main sponsor of their minor league affiliate. So to put some rumours to rest The Growl is more than welcome back at the Sportsplex and the Piranhas tryout last Thursday night was for a Torhs team. Would someone from the Piranahs please post somethign on this board? Lets go right to the source...If most of you out there are like me, you would have loved to have known about a tournament team in the philly area being put together. Good luck to the teams in Detrah this weekend at TORHS....

From what I saw Dave and was told was that it was an unannounced tryout for a tournament team. As you may or may not know the Pirahnas are a youth organization out of the Sportsplex. This tryout was basically done for their players who are to old to play youth anymore. From waht I saw their tryout was all of their own players and no new faces to them were present. If I hear anymore from them regarding tryouts I will make sure the information is relayed to all IHC readers.
