I'm just curious to know what everyone thinks are the best hockey gloves out and why. Feel free to post whatever company you want its all about personal opinion. Mine personally are eagle due to the comfort and 0 break in time and durability.

What are the toughest gloves out there as well? Ones that will not have a whole after 6 months of playing? Thank you.

I personally like the M-1's from Mission. They also had zero break in time and I like the way they flex in the fingers. They also have nash palms & haven't shown any wear after three months.

The glove with the toughest palm i've ever used have to be the Sande Max q's. They're kind of an unheard of brand but they make a very light comfortable tough glove.

While Eagle does make a nice glove, I've found that after I got a pair of the new nylon M-1 gloves I never use my eagles. I think it's the split fingers, but I can't place why i like them better.

i had a pair of tps bionic gloves which i loved but then i got some proglo eagle x70's and apart from the fact they are the sweetest looking glove i ever seen they are hands down the best performing glove i ever had, 6months of use, playing 3-4times a wk and apart from a tiny rip where i got slashed they still look good as new. quality gloves!

I have tried just about everything....My favorites are the Eagle X-70 for feel and I like the "old style" that they are made. I have a pair of Sande's but they are all tore up on the outside padding, good gloves also. I was also surprized by the Bauer 2000's. Light weight, lose, and durable. I had to buy them when I forgot to pack my gloves one day and at $75, they were a good buy.

they are just like eagles (design wise anyways) but the new Bauer xv and xx are freakin awesome. Zero brake in time and the feel great. Light weight, tough, awesome gloves.

I second the Bauer Vapor XV nomination. I've been a schill for M-1 gloves for a while, but I sucked it up and left Mission and bought a pair of XVs and I LOVE them. ZERO break in time at all, perfect weight and very durable.

Just got a pair of Vapor XV's yesterday and they are the S--T.
Second the motion based on my son's experience..he has played with Eagles for a few years and still loves them, but he just got the Mission M-1 Pro's over the last weekend, and had to play with them..he found that the fingers have less feel, and as he is a "touch" type player with the puck...he had trouble with them...really just that the fingers seemed not to transmit the feel of the puck on the stick as well as his Eagles. He also got some Vapor XV's from another Team association, and they seem to have good "feel" in the fingers..of course it's all personal preference, but for him the ability to "feel the puck on the blade" is critical, and his M-1 pro's fall a bit short.

eagle L-29s, best gloves. i love the cowhide palms, and they are tough. i guess they are a bit heavy, but that doesn't bother me...they feel awesome, takes a little time to get used to, but no break in time whatsoever.
my 2 cents
Since I last posted on the Eagles and Mission M-1 pro's my son has had a chance to use the Tour G-7'Pro's and has given up both his Bauer XV's as well as his Eagle x-70's in favor of the G-7's... still likes both those gloves..just likes the Tour G-7 Pro's best...just observations..everyone will have their own preference for feel..my son's critera is they must be both loose and transmit the most stick feel...

Hey Mike,
Where is the best places to find these gloves in the area. For that matter, what pro shops in the PA/NJ region give the best deals and nicest to deal with? I can't decide whether to purchase online or get some equipment in person. There are pros and cons with both, but I dont feel like getting ripped off at my local pro shop. Thanks for the help....

Hi Dave....actually we have bought online, or recieved this stuff through sponsorship deals..so I am not the best guy to ask..pm me though I have some thoughts....also a couple of pair of nice size 14 gloves for sale. For years we bought almost all out hockey equipment through the local PIAS, but they do less hockey stuff these days so we cannot get what we need there anymore

I love the Hespeler Classic Pro. Very old school and not hi tech compared to some, but really durable and protective.

There's lot's of great stuff out here right now in gloves....Bauer, Tour, Eagle, Sande, Mission, etc. etc. It's kind of hard to pick just one..hard to get to try them all long enough before a new model hits the streets to at least get a true long term evaluation/comparison. So much is personal preference. My own son likes Tour G-7's best right now, but not long ago it was Bauer XV's and in the same year it was Eagle X-70's....The only one he did not like for his style was the Mission M-1 Pro...but there are lot's who love those gloves...Nice to have so many great choices.
