Anyone heard anything about some new prospective teams in the region for MLRH? Someone moving into the Sportplex? Any teams dropping out? Granted it is early here and PIHA playoffs are around the corner, still want to get away from bickering in other posts.

Look out for the little minor league team from Ice Line....We will be in the playoffs.

db, if your credibilty was in question, you'd defend yourself. I agree it's non-sense but the issue did have impact on the league, which effects everyone......Did the Sting fold? Or did they move? Didn't you play for them?

MLRH will not be returning to the Sportsplex. Our boards in our facility took too much of a beating and they are not designed for that kind of contact. If a MLRH team is looking for a NE philadelphia location they may want to check out northeast raquetball club as they have ice hockey boards on their rink. This has already been discussed numerous times with management and the decision was made by the owners that after the Sting chose to leave we would not be inviting anymore MLRH teams in. They would prefer to run extra tournaments on those nights and I will tell you that there are plenty of Soccer Tournaments that we cancelled for Sting where they would have made mucho dinero.

I played for Joe Verna in 02-03 campaign for MLRH. I basically spent this past MLRH season losing my gut and getting in shape so I could keep up with youngsters from Breakaway. As far as I know right now, they still exist ( see bill raue). The last rumor was they were going to Ron's rink in Delaware, but I can neither confirm nor deny this news. The wolfpac are having tryouts in July, and most of the current teams have yet to announce their tryout dates except for the Snipers of Pittsburgh. Its a shame about the plex though, it being 20 min from my house ( as Naz can attest to this as well).

Look out for the little minor league team from Ice Line....We will be in the playoffs.

I'm not sure what I'm attesting to, but as of a month ago, the Sting were going to Blue Diamond. I would assume that's all still correct. Not sure if they're keeping the same name.
