Who is the best PIHA Referee? I am sure every player has an opinion.

I believe that this question was asked a month ago, or perhaps that was MLRH. Regardless, beware that it is threads like this that eventually can lead to some sensative and personal comments. Talking about teams is one thing but staff and specific names is another.

I would like to see what some guys feel personally. They say certain things on the rink but what they may say on here behind a hidden identity may help us looking at improving our officiating ability. All I want is good constructive criticism, so that hopefully we all could have something to look at from a referee's point of view on trying to improve on. I am not looking for outright personal attacks and if people feel the need to make them they should take it elswhere.

I agree that there is nothing to gain by discussing this topic. We have enough turmoil to deal with then to go opening up another can or worms. Lost somewhere in this whole mess is that this perhaps is the most competetive pro league ever and we should be enjoying it for what it is worth instead of swimming in the negative, to which I am probably the most guilty. I again apologize as I feel it necessary to stand up for our league.

from what I hear he doesnt work with PIHA any longer. I know he was one of, or maybe the best MLRH refs. I also ref but not at that level. the games i have seen the talent drops off tremedously after jm. would love to know what happened, its starting to sound like a soap opera.

Can I just say that it's refreshing to finally have an official say that they want to hear the bad things and mean it! Every officials association I have been a part of, the first rule is, "Don't criticize your partner on or off the field of play, including telling him/her if a call was missed"

I hate that! If I screw up in a game, let me know. I can only get better by knowing I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks daref!
