My Rink-Rat's and Dynasties have both been worn down to a point of no return (got a real long life out of the Hornets considering my size and how hard I stop)! I am looking at the Factory Halo wheels right now after reading some reviews but people also seem to be writing good reviews about the new Rink Rat wheels. I was just wondering if anyone has personally tried the Halo wheels or if anyone could tell me whats new with the 2004 Rink Rats.

I bought the Factory wheels and I tried them for the first time today, when I got out on the floor they felt real good speed wise, I skated over to the bench pretty hard and tried to stop and my right leg slipped out from under. Throughout the whole game the wheels wouldn't grip the floor despite having a 74a rating and being described as the "grippiest" wheel EPUCK has ever tested. For my second game of the day I put on my old Hornet/Dynasty setup and despite being VERY worn they still felt alot better than the Halos. After the first game I also noticed that alot of tiny bubbles were forming in the front wheels, which gave the front Factory's a very distinct white look compared to the clear blue back ones which were already rounded after one game of causious play. I was wondering if anyone has experience with Factory wheels and could tell me if they've experienced the same problem?

I have had the "white-bubble" experience with the red factory wheels also. I think it is just a separation where the harder inner and softer outer pour meet. Be not afraid - it is a much better option that every other wheel that I have had that breaks off in chunks. My set eventually began to develop chips on the back and front but that was after 40-50 games of playing and reffing on sport court, ice court and wood. As for performance, I would say that they have worked real well for me and I am a 6'2" 230lb aggressive skater. My girlfriend is 5'4", plays platinum level and was also very pleased with them. Maybe give them another shot, or try the clear microbearing factory wheels but other that paying 11-12 buck each, the rink rats won't hurt you either! Good luck keepin the rubber side down!

Try Revision. Guaranteed they will grip better than anything you have ever tried.
Boyd Sutton and Kirk French swear by them.
