Is it worth $8 more to step up to the z-carbon si-core blade over the normal z-carbon blade? $55 vs $48?

my opinion on that type of question is, I really don't think you'll tell any difference at all between the two blades. Very few of us here are at so high a playing level that a change that small is gonna be noticeable, however if your spending that kind of money on a blade anyhow, isn't it worth 8 bucks to have the "best"??

Is it any stronger? Honestly I believe the blade has made all the difference in the world to me. I have been using a regular z-carbon focus flex blade in the butt end of a broken synergy and I love it. I am just wondering if the si-core is mroe durable?

they are basically the same blade, what the 8 dollars is paying for is the si-core name. It would be virtually impossible to dumpt the technology of the si-core stick into a blade. All carbon fiber (or whatever they are made of) blades are pretty durable. Be a big man play with a wooden blade.....haha

Yeah, as soon as they make a wooden blade that durable and light.

try putting a wood blade in a synergy after having a z-carbon in there and it feels like it's made of lead.

maybe if you look at numbers the weight is different then yes it looks huge, but I personally have used a ccm vector 70 dollar blade and am much more satisfied with a freakin 15 dollar easton pro wooden blade. Weight = same, performance = same, feel for puck, I like wood better......oh well
