awful quiet around here for a while now...not a lot of chatter on the message boards...

just curious, what's everybody up to lately? Locally, we're gearing up for regional/national tournament season, wondering how we're gonna pay for all the travel, etc...

Wonder what we're all going to do with Las Vegas, now that the Crystal Palace is physically ice. Of course, both rinks can be converted, but the Palace is making it clear they really don't want to bother with inline anymore, and pricing itself out of the market (deliberately?) for inline tournament organizers. It is making it cost ineffective for even USA Hockey Inline to bring in it's two sportcourt floors for tournament play. Wonder where NARCh Winternationals will be held next year?

We will probably see a new location/facility step up and become the new focal point for regional-national organization events...

As a local Las Vegas palyer I can say the rink situation is in a state of CF right know. We are going to be moving to a new facility by the 21st of April. At least thats what I have been told. They are waiting for the cement to be poured over the old ice area at the Las Vegas Sports Park. Hopefully once the move is completed it will be more ideal for tournments to come to LAs Vegas again. The sports park has two rinks but one is being used for indoor soccer but the turf can be rolled and a 2nd sport court floor can be layed down. I will let everyone know when the move has taken place. THe website for Las Vegas roller hockey is LAsVegasRollerhockey.com. A lot of us where hoping these new owners would be different then Dave was but things are still the same espically the refs and the way the seasons are run. They want a ten game season and playoffs done in 10 weeks. With no break between seasons. I hope we get another place to play because competion makes things better. Hopefully with the LAs Vegas Wranglers ECHL team here that will happen. That is all the news from Las Vegas for know.

That does not surprise me in the least. They let guys who where kicked out of the palace for life back and are letting them play. Those guys are still doing the same things that got them kicked out in the first place. I hope something happens here where we do get a 2nd facility. We really need one. If it does nothing but make things better and make both facilities provide better service. I am tired truly getting tired of it. Hopefully the 2nd facility happens before i go up to Michigan to get my college degree. Let me stop know before this turns into a book.
