View Full Version : buying new skates need help D1 or D1 limited
I am looking at 2003 d1's vs 2003 d1 limited - cant make up my mind
limited are $100 more is it worth it? are there any other skates worth looking at in the $300 range (tour nike). I am used to missions but I am open to suggestions any input would be great - I am a league player that skates hard about 3 times a week and wants performance and comfort
Thanks in advance

If you like missions stick with missions... I didn't and wasted a lotta money on a pair of tours. Ended up buying a pair of d1's shortly after.

note d-ltd's at hockey giant, your size maybe...haven't heard any compliments about comfort; need break-in, but performance is absolute best...

Cannot speak for the recent Missions, except for some comments on another forum about some cases of outsole separation occurring. It seems that Mission is responding well to this, but there is always the time delay aggrevation.
My son has just purchased the new Nike Silver HI HO's, and has been a user of Graf conversions, before that the Nexed Stinger when it first came out, various Missions, one set of Tours, and multiple ice/inline conversions (he is very tough on skates). His opinion is that the Nike Hi HO's are by far the most comfortable skates he has ever worn ..right out of the box, and some of the lightest ever....We may try the old Stinger/2 degree chassis on these, but he is actually pretty satisfied with the stock chassis. We always felt though that the 2 degree
Stinger chassis had an edge over the stock high/low's in initial push, and in keeping an extended toe push.
FYI I wound up buying the d1 limited
They rock- thanks for all the advice
