Are you kidding? Z-Rink is an hour and a half away with no traffic.

And what would you suggest is closer then? In most parts of the country 1 and 1/2 hours to travel for roller hockey is not that far. Ny'ers are spoiled by the close proximity of evreything at their fingertips.

There is a two rink roller hockey club in waterbury. no puck league and pretty bush-league but you can play for about $85 a season. (www.waterburydekhockey.com) Also there is an outdoor roller-rink in Milford(again, no puck). I have never played there but have friends who have. No matter where you go though, no where is going to come close to the zrink.

Morristown NJ has an indoor rink which is likely close to you. It is approximately 45 minutes from NYC. I believe they have a web-site if you need the phone number or directions.

Isn't there a huge complex called the Chelsea Pier that is a huge indoor whatever facility. I know they have a pool, golf, tennis, and I thought there was a rink in there also.

There are two rinks at Chelsea Piers but both are outdoors. There are several outdoor rinks in New York City, but no indoor rinks. There is roller hockey at The Rink in Montvale, NJ, but it isn't a hockey rink. There is an indoor hockey rink in Wallington, NJ (ISCA) - but I think the rink is only approx. 160 ft long. There is the Inman Sports Rink in Edison, NJ, and the Extremes Rink in Bridgewater, NJ. There are a few rinks in Long Island. You might want to contact the New Rochelle Roller Hockey League and see where they play (Pat Hurlie-Smith, (914) 633-7672) [contact number courtesy of inlinehockeycentral.com]. Westchester County, NY, Rockland County, NY and Bergen County, NJ are sorely in need of a quality indoor rink.
