League Reaches Agreement for Network to Telecast 16 Games in 2004

IRVINE, CA? The International SpeedHockey League (SpeedHockey?), a new major professional inline hockey league, announced today it has reached an agreement with America One Network to televise its games in 2004.

It?s a tribute to the sport of SpeedHockey and to the league?s business plan that our games will be nationally televised in our first year of operation,? SpeedHockey? Commissioner Bob Elder observed. We now have the opportunity to reach America One?s 27 million homes with our new brand of family-friendly sports entertainment and we are ecstatic that the network shares our vision for the sport. Without a doubt, this provides SpeedHockey with instant credibility.?

America One will telecast 16 games in 2004. During SpeedHockey?s 2004 Introductory Season, games will be played in August and September 2004. Games will be taped and shown during the late summer and fall of 2004.

?We are very excited to be the television home of SpeedHockey,? said Preston Bornman, Senior Vice President of America One. ?I believe that SpeedHockey makes a great programming addition to the America One X Sports initiative because it bridges the audience and sponsor gap between our main stream AHL programming and our new extreme sports.?

America One is a national 24-hour advertiser supported broadcast network that provides mixed entertainment television programming to approximately 27 million U.S. homes via 80 affiliated stations. A family-friendly television network since 1995, America One, The Voice of the Homeland, is for people who feel in their hearts that tradition, values, and hard work are important, protecting and providing for their families are priorities, and America is Number One. SpeedHockey? represents the new generation of professional hockey? utilizing the best aspects of ice hockey and inline hockey, played on an 85` x 85` surface (85? x 100? for pro games). It is played three-on-three, plus goaltenders. The sport includes recessed goals, no icing or offside rules, and a two-point goal arc to reward slapshots from the perimeter. These and other measures make SpeedHockey? the fastest team sport on the planet.

SpeedHockey? played exhibition games in California in September 2003 and in New Jersey in October 2003. The sport was met with great enthusiasm from players, fans and hockey industry executives. The 2004 season will crown an East Coast Champion and a West Coast Champion.

You can see a list of stations at http://www.americaone.com/stations/index.htm.

The biggest problem with this deal is that many large cities do not have an affiliate.
