Hi Yarnie13,

Have you tried IHC's Clubs & Leagues section yet? There are quite a few good leagues in the Chicago area.

Sincerely,

Where abouts in Chicagoland area? Nowadays, Chicagoland extends all the way up to Milwaukee! I know of a few leagues in the area.

BTW, where are you going to school?

I'm looking for a place to play over the summer too, so if you've got a lead on a place with some good competition, let me know.

Hmm, where to start, where to start....

Glen Ayre has some good competition. Its up in Carol Stream. Pick up is Wednesday at 10pm last i heard. One rink, sport court, full boards.

Darien Sportsplex is probably my favorite rink. They have leagues for pretty much every skill level, and some excellent facilities.....2 full size inline rinks, 2 ice rinks, and a great pro-shop. (630)789-6666 or www.dariensportsplex.com

I played for the Drunken Monkeys at Mainstreet in Bolingbrook or Romeoville. Small rink, its actually a roller skating place, with wood floor. Only one league, plays monday nights, has players ranging from low bronze to platinum, but most are high-bronze to mid-silver level....its cheap, and the people there are really nice. Pickup is Friday at 11pm and Sunday at 7, but always call first. (630)759-5694

The Orbit in Palatine, the Odeum in Villa Park, and the Chicago Sports and Social club all also offer leagues. Dont know anything about them though.

If you just want to play some pickup, there's a fully boarded and lighted outdoor rink in Naperville, with a full tile surface. Its pretty nice, and Im there damn near every nice night and afternoon....some good players...some GREAT Players.

Hope that helps. If anyone has anymore questions, please feel free to contact me however, although email would probably by quickest and best.

Chloro-
I think that that URL for the Darien Sportsplex isn't valid anymore. Nonetheless, thanks for the info and phone #.
