Will baking expand the D1 boot at all or will time and use pack out the boot?

I just purchased Mission D1's and got them at what I believe is a great price ($199). Upon first putting on the D1's they feel pretty tight. My big toe on my right foot is pretty much flush against the front of the skate.

Went to the store to make sure they would fit before buying them but could only find an RX in an 11 and the D3 in a 12. The first was too small and the latter was too big. I bought the D1 at 11.5 which is my precise shoe size. My right foot is exactly an 11.5, my left is more like 11.25. I wear a 9.5 CCM 752 Tack which is the equivalent of an 11.5 Mission skate and it feels fine.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, I would rather not send them back, the shipping was kind of costly ($15), but I can't deal with the idea of having $200 skates that are too small!

If it's just barely touching you should be alright. When you bake them the heel area gets really soft and your foot will be able to move back a little. Least that's how it felt with my d1's. With how stiff they were when I bought them I thought I was going to have to get a wider pair since the sides killed my feet just wearing them around the house but baking works wonders.

question did you get the EE extra wide width... also measure the widest part of your foot and tell us what it is... mine is 4.5 inches wide I just measures it my shoe size is a 10 (make sure you're are stepping on the floor) I dont want to have the same problem wither either d1 or d2 skates... let us know what width u got and what is the width you measured on your foot

No I'm pretty sure they were the smaller D width. Like I said they felt really tight before I baked them, if it's at all possible get to a shop with a skate oven and have them do it. It made break-in almost non-existant.
