You Boston Storm guys need to cool down and stop posting such much because it's making your team look really bad. People will view you guys as a bunch of whining babies who do nothing but talk smack on an internet message board. That's what little kids do and that's why NARCh closed down theirs. All you would see is 200 posts on how "my team is the team to beat" or "we will win big." I am starting to see a similarity on here (no offense to IHC).

You are right that no one sees unfair and biased stories in the NHL like the Marple/Boston write-up, but you also don't see owners, GMs, coaches and players posting about how they lost because half their team was missing or how their league is lazy. Keep it in-house; you don't want the whole world to hear about every problem with your league or excuses for losing.

Best of luck.

You might want to sharpen your reading skills. Not a single person on this whole message board made excuses for losing. We were beat by a great Marple team and excepted that. We lost a game it's not the end of the world. The problem is the league bashing one of their better teams that plans on helping this league succeed and to have the league post such a thing like I've said numerous times is bad business for them.

You completely missed the point, and I wasn't referring to the Marple/Boston game in particular, but in general by various participants of MLRH. Look down below and read more carefully before you post.

hey, its the 'sharpen your reading skills' comment again. seen that before. the real point is you talked smack, got beaten very bad, made excuses, and now you are like a petulant little child. take your ball and go home then. no one cares about your gripe. but many people are happy you lost. we all hope it teaches you loudmouths some humility.

i didn't think that there was any real trash talking coming from the storm and if there was it was mostly friendly banter between a couple of friends/players. sure it felt good to win this game by a bunch because the mlrh website poll had the storm "shredding our net". that's why the game is played on the rink and not some internet site.we played pretty well and the storm had an off night.i expect a much tighter game at their place and look forward to the trip. as for the negative article on the website i didn't see the first unedited version but there are probably a few things that shouldn't have been said. D, i understand your point.

I have a legitament complaint about the MLRH website!!! I have a fighting major and im not on the PIM list, I dont work that hard for those minutes to get left off. Just thought i had to lighten this place up. BTW Roger I have more PIM than you:)

Its just not fun unless you stand in front of it!

Hey go easy on yokes he's just having fun. Anyways if you read the message boards no one uses proper spelling or grammar. Like in your message "such much"? Did you mean such muCK?

It was a joke, and I meant "so much."

The :) denotes a smiley face, and means that one is usually joking. :)

Sorry guys, but this is why I have doubts about this league. Hopefully the Speed Hockey players won't argue on web sites. It is unacceptable and unprofessional.

The games wouldn't be as entertaining if you did!

I do agree with part of this poster's opinion. The standard of postings here have degraded slightly in recent weeks. Now, I'm not picking on any one thread; obviously joking is all good fun. But there are times when people are being obviously serious about the trash talk.

Teams should make it a policy that any player should not comment on public message boards unless it is a directed answer to a proposed question or a neutral topic. Any professional organization has rules like this.

Also, the league should take better care to protect its integrity and interests by enforcing rules such as the ones above as well as making sure what is put on its website is fair and accurate.

It is these little things being addressed that are the only chance of elevating the league to the levels it wants to be at.

My question in all of this is: if the problem was with the league post, why not address it with the league through their website, and be done with it?

Attacking MLRH on here in a public forum seems to be an obvious attempt to retaliate against the league, and something which should have been seriously considered before taking action. I haven't even bothered reading the post(s) in MLRH as most of this is really just a tempest in a teapot. If someone attacks your or your team's integrity on this forum I would understand all the rabble rousing going on, but to bring it to this forum seems a bit "over the top", and does smack of bruised ego more than constructive criticism.

Well, you pretty much summed up my opinion. I just feel that there should not be dirty laundry aired on a public forum. Even if you are 'just playing to play' and don't have a vested interest in the league or its future, you have to show a level of respect to what it is trying to accomplish by not bashing it as long as you participate. I'm not labeling anyone either; I know the Boston and Marple guys and they all have legitimate interest in the sport. This thread just happens to be where we're talking about this topic.

I was guilty of airing a personal matter in here once last year, and I will never do it again. I'm working towards my Lady Bing.

Oh yea! Well we will see who has more penalty minutes when you guys come up to Boston. I say we skate to center ice, drop the gloves, and have a mean thumb wrestling match. Unless your scared. Hey Yokes. Thanks for the call yesterday. It was good hearing from you. Hope I didn't talk your ear off.

I believe that I read in the paper this morning about a baseball player (Pro) that, after signing with a team, went into a chat room to "clear up a few things". Granted it wasn't a message board but at least boards can be edited and locked- chat rooms are LIVE and REAL!! Who said pros don't use this medium?

When you change players with every game you play it's hard to get that rivalry thing going...
