Marple Vs. Wolves....Marple just dominates, but the wolves will give them a run for their money....glads over wolves 9-4

Birds Vs. sting...should be a great game too...two very strong teams, Sting over Birds 8-6

I'll have to disagree on the Sting- Firebirds game I'm going with the Birds in this one.

Glads- Wolves....Marple just to strong all around for anyone to contain.

Storm- Bullets... I'll tell you just this, "I FEEL BAD FOR ANY TEAM IN OUR PATH", for the disrespect we recieved from the league itself... it's going to be a long night for any team that has to face us.

not sure how you guys were disrespected in any way...... but anyways,

Marple over the Wolves 12-8
Storm over the Bullets 9-7

I'm not gonna comment on the Sting game, don't want to jinx the team ya know? Gonna be a good game though.

Disrespect you? You lost by 15 goals, dude. Suck it up. The Snipers played Marple better then you did. Your boys got spanked and lost their composure and looked stupid in doing so. That's what you need to work on, not coming on here and beating your chest.

Well if you can't see the disrespect we recieved from the league on the league web site maybe you should go back to school and learn how to read for starters. Oh by the way the write up about the game has been edited twice already because it was worse.

Now for you junior, were you at the game? Probably not or maybe you'd realize that all that bull started once Tracy ran our goalie. There was no cheap stuff at all in that game until that point, all we did was respond. This is part of the disrespect I'm talking about. The league made it out like we started it, like we're the bad guys... well wasn't like that. So maybe you get the facts before you speak....ok junior.

First the Wolves always play us tough and they gave us our loss last year so im not commenting on that.
I think Birds over Sting 11-9 in a barn burner.
Revenge will be on the Storms minds, 10-3 Storm.

Its just not fun unless you stand in front of it!

DI, I wasn't at the game, so I can't say who started what. All that can be done now is to continue on with the season and play the best you can. All you guys on that team are a classy bunch of players, and if the league site says one thing, why even let it steam you? They don't have a full staff that can write up the game stories. Everyone knows that the Storm is one of the best teams, but on that night, Marple was better, end of story. It's good to have motivation after a loss of a game, but not because of an article. Keep on skating.

Maybe you should just suck it up? Hows that sound? Trust me, I can read..... and I don't see how they disrespected you. They were honest with what happened. Don't get pissed off because you guys got embarassed, seriously. Then you go blame it on the league and their 'disrespecting' you?

What a joke. Blame it on yourselves, after all you guy have been pretty damn cocky ALL year..... think it might be time to humble up, eh? Let your game do the talking, and until then, I think you should seriously learn to deal with the article. Because I for one, certainly don't want to hear the whining..... ESPECIALLY from one of the better teams in the league, one that CLAIMS they are the team to beat........

Hey Chris thanks buddy you lowered my blood pressure alittle. Your absolutly right I just didn't like the way we were blasted by the league itself, who is suppose to be neutral but did a bad job of wording in that write up. Like I said before they didn't have to try to embarass anymore Marple did a good enough job of that they didn't need any help from the league. Thanks again buddy.

I don't understand why everyone gets so steamed about what is said, just play hockey the only way you can defend your team is to PLAY hockey as best as you can....that's it.....everyone needs to take a step back, and calm down...besides why are you getting mad on the message board...get your anger out on the rink.....good luck this season guys, hope everyone plays fair too...

The thing is if Marple was to post we stink and they're the best fine. What can we say they handed it to us. But for the league to do so is just unexceptable. Believe me I would be saying the same thing if it was any team not just mine. It's a business... you don't see the NHL posting stuff like that after a team blows out another team...absolutly not. Now you might see it on that teams own web site written by their teams writers...fine. That's my point. It has nothing to do with Marple or any other team in the league. I just think it is bad business to down another team in your own league that is trying there best to help your league succeed. Maybe I should have explained my thoughts alittle deeper but I was heated... and just about everyone on here being players you know where I'm coming from.

Your right. We should suck it up. We got beat and beat bad, bottom line. Hats off CJ, Yokes and co. I think the message Bkhand was trying to make was, sure we lost, but for Bill to ignore the rest of the league in an obvious attempt to discredit our team was bad for the league. The site never mentioned the following weeks game, and now Tuesday, is finally updating the site. To hear that the bashing was twice edited by Steve, shows Bill's indignation concerning our team. Sure we talk trash, but it's all in fun and in the name of competition. We won a game 18 to 5, I didn't see Bill write anything close to, "humiliating, not good enough", or other negative comments. Nor would I want to read it now or in the future if a game is lopsided in scoring. We are all trying to promote the league as well as the sport. Bill's article did neither. Shame on you Bill. Keep your personal feelings out of "OUR" site.

Listen, I never saw the game, only heard reports about it, Both teams are great teams. A betting man would say that play 10 games they probably win 5 a piece. To many powerful players on both sides. From what I heard from the Storm guys is that The Marple guys after the fights were over and everyone calmed down were pretty good. If there was ever a time to glout after a win that would have been it, But from what I heard there was none of it from Marple. Classy guys over there.

As far as the Boston guys getting heated after reading the MLRH website, they have a point, and they made it and it was changed.

Listen I would expect to see a good healthy battle all year long from Marple and Boston. It's good for the league...
But keep this in mind marple still has to show up in Boston to play the Storm in their barn. Who knows what will happen but A betting man would probably say it will be a closer game, and tougher game to...

Just an opinion

We did lose by 15 goals, however did you not read the article that was wrote about us before and after it got edited? That is not something that you see any league writing about any team, pro, amateur, or whatever. And as far as the Snipers game, yes they only lost 10-6 to Marple which might look like an impressive win for Marple. However, no offense guys, look at who you had playing for the Glads that night, NO Ron Tracy, NO Yingling brothers, NO Viscuse, NO Yocum, that is like half of the team right there. That means that all of the points that Marple could of had was missing, You can probably figure that the score would have been higher with those guys playing. I am not writing this in an disrespect to the Snipers, they are a great group of hockey players, however you have to look at things from another perspective before you say that they played a better game. They might have I was not there but looking at fact that is what I see happened this past Saturday night.

most betting men, or at least smart betting men would not bet a 5-5 split i'd venture to guess. maybe a 9-1 or 8-2 for marple. your coach can bitch about whatever he wants but it seems a very insignificant issue. it was a blow out. no other way around it. is the league supposed to pretend that its premiere game was close when it wasnt?

12-03-2003, 12:55 AM
um....ok seriously....that was a load of BS what you just said, i promise you their 2nd string team is just as good as their first string, i think the glads 2nd string could put up a HUGE fight and possibly still be number one with out the 4 or 5 wonder boys, these amazing 4 or 5 guys could make up a team on their own, but the score did get out of hand, and i understand why everyone is getting upset about the storm/glads game, they really didn't need to make a huge 14 or 15 goal lead, but oh well it happened, put it BEHIND YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i know you felt you weren't down grading the SNIPERS but you were, they played VERY WELL against them...they are the only team besides the birds who play the game and don't cry about losing....they should be respected...people really need to stop making excuses for their teams!

MlrhFan101
12-03-2003, 01:00 AM
good point, i think the storm team WILL come out fighting! and this will be a close game...bottled up emotions, but one point put what happened behind you and play a CLEAN game, the true winner will win and above all, be respected!...good point rinkrat!

BkHdTpShlf
12-03-2003, 08:09 AM
Once again another person missing the whole point. It had nothing to do with Marple. Marple did what they should have done...beat us by as many as posible to prove they are still the team to beat. The point is the "LEAGUE", one more time incase you missed that word "LEAGUE". There was plenty of things to write about in that game besides bashing us over and over. Keep things positive... Marple's passing game was one of the best displays I've ever seen or they just clicked all night or even Marple's goalies played like two stone walls back there. The "LEAGUE" should not be bashing any team...period. This really wasn't hard for anyone to see after reading what was written.
