Mission wood sticks

Anyone know if Mission ever made a 1 piecewood stick? If so, anyone know where i can get one?

I am not sure anyone ever made a 1 piece wood stick.....that's a lot of whitling.......maybe in the hinterlands of Quebec during the long winters?

Seriously think of the amount of wasted wood involved, and the grain direction of either the blade or the shaft would be wrong.
