Benny,
We do not have a particular home base as we are searching for players from across the globe but we do intend to play in tournaments in Canada(ie. Toronto) and the parts of the US(ie. Buffalo and Detroit), as well the finals for TORHS and NARCH.

I am sorry, but you can't make a post on a national forum and have no information behind it. Do you have a website? I don't know about the rest of us on this site, but I for one want to make sure you are legit and not wasting everyone's valuable time. Please expand on where you may have tryouts or even who is your head honcho ( i.e jamie from marple, flynn from growl, cj typhoon, etc.)
Thanks,
DB

Dear Db,
Sorry for the lack of info. This is a legit team but of course were not going to put together a team that is not going to compete for a national title like NARCH and TORHS. Team United was created by a group of people pretty much new to the sport of roller hockey but have a good background in putting together competitive ice hockey teams. As for tryouts, there will not be any. Thorough background checks are being made to assure that do not put together a team of stiffs. We hope that this answers some questions for you. Feel free to contact us at anytime at

Being a head honcho, as DB called me, I'd like to make a suggestion. Many of us in the inline community have learned a bitter lesson from Icehockey transplants. I am not trying to be rude, it is just a suggestion that maybe you get your feet wet in the sport before jumping in and creating elite teams. There are many differances in our version of hockey that many Ice Hockey people tend to over look. Having been involved in the abortion called Flyers Skate Zone Rollerhockey, I can tell you what a nightmare it is when Ice hockey folks think they can just dive right into the sport without doing any research or taking things a bit slow to understand the subtle differances in our two very different sports. I wish you the best of luck!

Growl,
Thanks for the advice and the heads up. We believe we have done the proper research and feel strong enough to put an excellent team together. We in no way will try and run this team as if it is an ice hockey team. We would be just fooling ourselves and as well be an embarrassment.
Thanks

We are in no rush to make any final decisions as to who will be on our roster. We are still receiving player resumes everyday and want to do proper background checks on every player before any decisions are made.
Thanks

Thanks...will the players have their expenses paid for? What do you plan to do for practice if the players are from different locations? Just Curious...Marty

Marty
At this time the only expenses that would be paid for are the tournament entry fees and jerseys/pants. All other expenses will be on the player. As for practices we do not intend to have any unless we can get players together the night before a tournament and floor time is available.
Thanks

If the team wins a tourny, who receives the payout? The team owner or is it distributed between the players?

The pay out will definitly be shared equally between the players.
Thanks
