California Teams

Do you guys know of any teams in California that help get into there schools if you are a good player?
We just started a league down in San Diego, we got some good players in it. If you have seen the California Hockey Newspaper you will see our league has an article with a few of the players pictures and how they are currently doing. (im one)

how is that national city league going. we were gonna put in a team but the price is rediculous.

Does any college give any scholarships or grants for a talented roller hockey player, in the nation ?

Is the sport only a club sport in college?

Just wondering what and if colleges were doing such things.

I believe that a few schools such as Lindenwood will recruit players but I am not aware if they are giving grants or scholarships.

Roller hockey is a club sport which makes it difficult for schools to justify giving out money. However, many of the regional leagues have scholarships that they give out.

Your team is welcome to join the WCRHL as an associate member this year, meaning that you may play in exhibition tournaments against other CA colleges(such as Cal Poly Pomona, Chico State, Cal Poly SLO, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, Moorpark College, Monterey Peninsula College, and about 15 more!!!). This is the OFFICIAL college club league of the Western United States, with teams from CA, NV, and AZ. We play a 20-game season w/ a Regional Championship. We qualify teams from that Regional Championship to the NCRHA National Championship.

what school are you from?
i would say its the most competitve league down here in san diego. however its basically 3 teams fighiting for #1 spot between Mesa, SDSU and Southwestern college.

i played against u guys in the one game that u played down at sakte san diego....
i got the 10 minute penlty at the end of the game for elbowing and then talkin crap cuz i was jokin witht he ref but he gave me a 10 anyways but there was only like 1 minute left. did u play that game?

yea i played...i was the only one from the actual club team. everyone else were random people i had to pick up (they sucked).
