True tryouts were thursday for the few remaining spots on each team. I know Yocum played goal for the Habs. Final score was 19-11 from what I heard, USA taking the loss.

This form of the sport is absolutely the most exciting and fast paced as ive ever seen it. I loved every minute of it, along with the chance to play with the best of the best. I hope that this thing catches on in a big way. Now I cant wait to play Saturday against the 'Phants.
On Thursday at the tryout three Gladiators and one Sting player filled out the open roster spots, I was the only goalie taken and played for Canada.

Hey Yokes, how have you been my man? Congrats on the SpeedHockey game. So it was that much fun? I thought it would be a joke until I finally saw a video clip on their website. It sure looks fast. How many shots did you face? Was it hard playing in front of a recessed net? Are you playing MLRH this season?

I had a blast, I loved it. I had two really bad practices with the team before the game and Mike Hunt kept telling me id be alright. For ive never played with that caliber of players before but I held my own. I think I got around mid 30s in shot total and gave up 6 or 7, but with the way it is setup every shot is a quality one. At first i thought it would be difficult to play with those nets but I really didnt even notice that they were that way. I hope that Philly gets a team in that for next season. But for now I will be minding the nets for Marple, Ill be starting against the Phants on Saturday and I cant wait!! When I come up to Boston your going to have to take us all out and party, that is if you are playing, right??

Yokes playing againts the best players in the world you did great, remember Nobody actually played defence, so you were left alone an awful lot, but it was a pretty good time....Good Job and good luck in the MLRH....

I am going to assume this was a hockey game, not FOOTBALL.
Even an NHL ALL Star game has lower scores then 19-11 and they don't play any defense either. Somehow I do not see this being a mass appeal type of game and with scores like that, if they are going to be the norm, will this new Pro Sport retard the growth of inline hockey and keep it as the butt of most ice hockey players jokes?

I think it is a step in the right direction...Although I can see your point. Roller hockey is all about scoring, but that does seem like a few to many goals to be exciting...I mean "he shoots, he scores" can only be exciting for so long!!

Hell ya we'll go out. I believe there is a nice gentlemen's club not far, as well as a few good places to eat, and downtown Boston is just ten minutes away. I'm sure two goalies can find some trouble to get in. As far as the RinkRat wheels your getting from Mr. Hunt, I finally was able to pry my old labada wheels off and put on the RinkRat 59mm's. WOW. Talk about control. Since playing for RinkRat and hearing the guys rave about them, I finally had a chance to see for myself how good they are. Love them. Labada who? Anyway, enough with the RinkRat hype. Looking forward to seeing you in Boston. Good luck this weekend.
