Got my new gear today!

I wasn't suppose to get it until Friday but it came today. Maybe epuck shipped it next day because they were out of the pads I had ordered the first time and I had to get more expesive ones. Either way I am stoked. The easton extreme pads I got are very comfortable. I love the Bauer skates and they fit perfect. I was able to try them out at the rink for a while before the weather got bad. Very sweet!

I also got my gloves today. That will take some getting used to. Is there a quicker way to break in the boots? How long will I have to suffer?

Glad you got your gear, the boots should take about a month before they are forgiving. You will probably get blisters, then callus, and then it won't hurt. LOL I'm happy to see another girl in the sport. My best friend doesn't wear socks with her skates and she didn't get any blisters. The only problem is her feet smell pretty bad after playing. Good luck, I hope we can meet and play together some day.

I got to play in two different informal games today. The first was a bunch of guys (and a wife) that just get together and screw around. Some of them were 10 or 11 but they were pretty good and never got tired! I got to score a goal! The second game was with the local team and they were good and very big! I had sooooo much fun playing with them because they weren't taking it easy. I love my pads! I sort of feel invincible wearing all that stuff. I got to score 2 goals in that game. I really need to get my hands and forearms strong for handling the stick and puck. It will just take time.


I finally had to quit because my feet hurt so bad I couldn't see straight. I am very sore right now from using some muscles I never knew I had! I will be happy if I can even walk tomorrow. They will play again on Wed. and I will be there!

Has it been a month yet? Did I mention how much I love my pads?
