<font color=blue>Well seems I will be relocating in the next year. So I would like your help/opinions.

I need to move to PA in any part of the state that is East of Harrisburg. Something within 2 hours of Manhattan is ideal. Here is my criteria:

-Rural Area
-Horse property, minimum 1 acre. If priced right, will purchase 1-5 acres
-$200k price range
-House, not condo/townhome etc
-low taxes
(Where I am now, my personal property taxes are $4700 a year)
-low crime
-technology is current (meaning I can get digital cable and internet with no problems

otherwise I am flexible. I don't have kids but I think that the school system should be quality.

I do not need to be close to a hockey rink, but it would be nice.

I HAVE to get off Long Island!
Thanks for your ideas.

Rebecca

Sounds like somewhere between Allentown and the Poconos would suit you well. Access to decent schools in ABE area, several horsey communities North of Easton, taxes lower in those areas out of direct urban centers.(Poconos taxes have climbed outrageously over the past 15 years)About 100 miles to Manhattan on either route 80 or 78. Access to Sportcourt rinks about an hour 15 minutes to an hour and a half, closest being a tie between Extremes in Bridgewater, and Potstown Pa. Marple is about an hour and 15 from that area, depending on the proximity to route 33.

Don't live in the mountains. Go for somewhere in Bucks County.
