View Full Version : Easton T-Flex and Synthesis

I have an Easton T-Flex shaft that I like very much, but was getting a little frustrated that T-Flex blades were no longer in production and were becoming a little difficult to find.
I was in my local hockey shop on the weekend and the guy there pointed out that Easton's new-ish Synthesis line is basically an upgrade of the T-Flex, and that a Sythesis blade should fit perfectly well in a T-Flex shaft. Before I spend $40 on a new blade, I thought I'd double-check here first.
A related question: is such thing as a cheap Synthesis blade out there (ie: just a basic wooden blade, as opposed to those carbon-reinforced-type things)? I generally only play outdoors on asphalt, and would prefer to get a cheaper blade if they're available.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they do. I thought I saw some on epuck a while back... tried to check it now but their server is down for maintenance or something

epuck still shows the t-flex wood blades available as well as an easton synthesis "hybrid" blade which is about half as much as the carbon one.

Okay great, thanks everyone.
I guess I'll have to go with that $40 blade at my local hockey shop (I'm talking Cdn$ here). The T-Flex blades on EPuck are left-handed only, and they won't ship to Canada. The Hybrid blade would cost about Cdn$40 to order off Epuck, anyway, and though I don't remember exactly, I think the $40 blade at my local hockey shop may very well have been one of those Hybrid things.

Thanks again!
