Anyone have any idea who will be competitive for Division #1 and #2 at CRHL nationals? What teams and players do you think will make a name for themselves this year? I have been to several regional events this season, and I am interested in predictions for nationals.

Its too early to call right now...there arent enough bids awarded yet to make an accurate guess.

I actually have some questions about DII. Does anyone know if "B" teams will be permitted to play at CRHL nationals? For example, Truman State "A" plays DI, and Truman "B" plays DII in the GPCIHL. If they arent allowed, DII will be pretty much up in the air, as that would pull out many of the DII powerhouses, at least in our league.

Chloroform,
What teams and players do you see from your league emerging as a nationals powerhouse?

From the midwest Purdue and Michigan State will be two of the top teams at Nationals. Purdue is solid all around and Michigan State always finds a way to win when it counts. Also in Division II, Eastern Michigan could be a contender.

Look out for Lindenwood University out of the Great Plains Region. This team is easily the most improved team in college roller hockey with Chris Kahre and newly acquired Dave Kozlowski. They will make some noise at nationals, but goaltending could be a question. Lindenwood beat D3 national champs St. Charles a couple weekends ago. St. Charles probably has the two best players in college roller hockey today in (goalie) Josh Holl and (forward) Ryan Marchand.

Well, in GPCIHL DII, its kind of hard to call, depending on whether B-teams are eligible to play at Nationals. Excluding B-teams, Kansas State and Iowa State are the teams to watch. If B-teams are allowed, then Truman State B has to get some attention. Meramec B is also a great team, but they are community college, and thus DIII. I cant put MIssouri on the list, since they are kind of offensively challenged...they depend WAY too much on their goalie.

I have heard rumors B teams are not allowed to play D II. Who will be fightening for the national title in that case? Chlorofind, from the Great Plains region, who will be strong? Who did well in the regular season (teams and players)?

You are correct in thinking that B teams can NOT participate in Nationals. The rules state that each school can only send one team, regardless of division.

From the Mid-Atlantic, look for RIT, Penn State, and Penn State-Altoona to make waves in DI, while DII will likely see West Chester as one of the top teams out of the region.

Now here's a question....If a team's "A" team does not get an invite to Nationals, is the "B" team still eligible? Honestly, id say that wouldnt be fair, but thats just me.

No, under no circumstances are "B" teams eligible for Nationals on their own. Some regions may have rules where "A" teams can bring up "B" players and vice versa, and in that case, if the "A" team became eligible for nationals, some "B" players could end up playing, but if the "A" team was not eligible for nationals, neither would the "B" team.
