I just got a pair of Mission RT skates. I have heard about the Vibe problem but figure I will test it out and then see if it has any affect on my game. If anything I figure that I needed a new boot anyways, and I couldn't beat the price I got them for.

Anyways, I would like to know the fastest way to break in a pair of new Mission skates. I have read about the Skate Bake and have heard of other methods to break in skates. What would any of you recommend?

Let me know. Thanks.

I agree, skate bake is the only way to go unless you like painful blisters.

Actually blisters are caused because the skate size is to big for your feet. I use to work at a hockey store, and the Bauer/Nike rep use to emphasize on that, and so I tried it before, and with the right size skate, there are no blisters.
The skate bake is the best way to go. You have a faster break-in, but it is not recommend to bake your skates just before a game. It takes a couple of hours for the skates to completely cool.
Another idea is to get your socks wet, and just sit there in front of the Tv or computer or something, for a while. That takes longer to break-in though, and the same goes with drenching your skate with a water bottle before playing.

I have heard the same thing about blisters because I also worked at a proshop. But trust me, without a skate bake and brand new very stiff skates, my feet felt the pain. lol
