Is it scoring the game winner, the fast paced action, getting a sut out, or anything else?

Man, I love everything about it. From the comraderie of my team to a rough, bone jarring game where both teams are laying it out there. I love every aspect. Plus it gets my fatness out doing some exercise!

exactly....... if it wasn't for hockey, I'd quite a huge beer gut... which wouldn't be too bad, the alternate 'workout' other than hockey aint so bad ;)
Now if I can only convince her to help me burn calories AFTER my games..... hahaha

Thats a tough one. But I love feeling when you got the puck and are on a breakaway and you have thoses split seconds to decide what to do with the puck. But I love tons of other things about hockey, which I will surely post ^_^

"My favorite thing about Hockey is being privileged and lucky playing this wonderful sport. Many can't because of financials or disabilities"
Very true, we all are lucky to play the best game on Earth.

I would have to say it is the duality of the sport. Some sports emphasize foot and legwork, like soccer, and others, like baseball emphasize upper-body motions. With hockey, you can't be an outstanding player without both being a strong skater as well as having a good set of hands for stickhandling, passing, shooting, etc. A good analogy would be that hockey players require skills like a baseball player, but need to be great skaters as well. A lot of people that do not know the sport do not give hockey proper respect for the level of athletic ability that the sport's top athletes have.

I totally agree, we need more respect for the level athleticism it takes to play hockey.

Plus you have to have great balance to play hockey, you have to have it in other sports, but in hcokey you have to do more than most other athletes and balance on wheels or a thin balde!

The fact is that many people cannot skate, let alone skate and play hockey like we do. lol

True enough. There is something satisfying about leveling someone with a good, clean hit. My ice game the other day I nailed some dude and first thing going through my mind was Paul Kariya. Glad he did not get up and light us up for it ;)

We have a sign at the door to our new rink, "Come into this arena to play and take pride in the joy of the game."

That was amazing what Kariya did. he is one heck of a player. I heard rumours of Teemu coming back to Anaheim, if so the Ducks will be a force to reckon with next year.

Thats a good statement for a rink Danny. because I find the best and most succesful hockey players are the ones who respect and take pride in the game they play.

I was feeling bad for Teemu during the cup. The Ducks trade him to a playoff-bound Sharks, and then the Sharks all of a sudden can't make the playoffs and the Ducks do.
I imagine he is looking down at Anaheim with disbelief that they played as well as they did.

I personally would like to see Teemu and Paul reunited. I think they would have all the pieces to contend again.
