Ontario Firewheels D-1 Recruiting Provinces Top Players
Hamilton, ONT ? The Ontario Firewheels Division One Roller Hockey Team is recruiting top provincial players to participate in the NARCH Finals in Estero, Florida.
Over the years the Firewheels have enjoyed success at the Major Junior A Roller Hockey level but to compete with the continents top D-1 teams, they are seeking experienced players (23 & Under)to join the team.
Prior to the NARCH Finals in Estero, the team will be participating in the Canadian Qualifier at York University, Non-conference games with area teams and a showcase game with Team Pro Joy United Kingdom.
The Ontario Firewheels Division One Team offers a plateau for top Canadian roller hockey players to get to the next level. Former Firewheel netminder Brett Leggat who backstopped Team Canada to a gold medal in 2002, has been turning heads at the pro level. Leggat will play for Labeda Tour at this summers NARCH Pro Division. Another Firewheel, Chad Martin was recently selected to participate at NARCH for the newly formed Team Nike in the pro division.
Team Gear is provided to all players. However, players selected to the team will be required to pay flight, transportation and accommodation costs. The team has already purchased an upscale Beach House for July 19-26
