Vibe Frame

I have read a lot of posts stating how bad the Vibe Frame was but have yet to determine why? Could someone clue me in to what was truly wrong with or the negative effects of the Vibe Frame???

Thanks for the question. I am wondering the same thing. I keep hearing that it is terrible, but with no reasons stating why. I too am interested. If you get the kit to remove the shock, is that the only thing wrong with it, or are there other things as well?

Ok if you are at a competitive level of hockey they are terrible. Try skating as fast as you can but having to stop and turn quickly to get back on D, oh yeah you wouldnt be able to because you would be laying on the ground from when the vibe clipped the floor, which always happens. Trust me, they look and sound appealing according to the orginal description of them, I bouth the Vsi Vibes. But the theory only works on paper, not in the game. Plus it has the most annoying clickety clack from the chassis. You would be better off getting some 2003 Mission's, or even Tour's. I have not met one person with Vibes who likes them.

All the reasons have been said before. In the past few years of complaining about these chassis's. Trust me on this, they are appealing at first, but you will hate them once you use them. The boots are ok, but if you plan to spend that kind of money on the skates and adapter kit, why not just get 2003 Missions?

Aside from the interference with the vibe mechanism and the floor on very inclined turns or stops, which still occurs when you intall the spacer kit, there is also the issue of how many wheels you have in full contact with the floor where maximum grip is needed. A similar problem to the rocker chassis. I would definitely trust Mission on this one.

Thanks for the info guys. Right now I'm not that competative, so I'll stick with them for now (as I already have them), and when I start getting better I'll probably get some new chassis, as I'll have the boot broken in good by then.

Also, Mission, It's not that I wasn't listening before, I was just looking for a more concrete answer other than &quot;they suck&quot;. I was looking for the reasons why they suck.

Thats cool. But I have a recommendation for when you replace the chassis. I replaced my vibe chassis with a Labeda Sensor chassis, and it turned a unused pair of skates into a half way good backup pair.

Thanks, that was going to be my next question, what is a good inexpensive chassis to put on them. The Labeda Sensor is a good frame?

I love the Sensors. I think I got mine for around a $130. If you really need a inexpensive pair, a good old fashion hi-lo chassis from mission should do the trick. I can give links to both if you want them.

Are the older mission hi-lo's good?

The older Mission hi-lo's are fine, they will get the job done and at a reasonable price. Have you ever used a regualar hi-lo?

nope, the skates I had prior to the vibes, were some old recreational rollerblades. Never owned hockey type skates.

The regualar Hi-Lo's Mission make are just fine. Thats what Mission has on their 2003 lineup, which I have been very satisfied with.

So which would be a better chassis. The regualr mission Hi-lo's or the labeda. Why?

If money is an issue, the regular Hi-Lo's by Mission will suit you fine. If not I prefer the Labeda Sensor. Its durable, I get a better push-off and more speed from it.

thanks, I was looking around. What is the difference between the mission pentetrators, and generators.

The Generators I think are made with a higher quality aluminum, thats all I can really remember about those frames. But when I had the generators on a pair of 99 Vsi's I never had any problems with them.

My brother has the Redstar Alloy chassis and he really likes them.
