D1 or Type M?

I'm torn between the D1 and the Type M.
Given equal prices, which is the better skate, which do you prefer?
I've heard great things about the D1, and bad things about Vibe - but my question stems, in a way, from the original Type M retail of something like $600.
Please help!

D1, hands down. The only way I would recommend the Type M's is if you buy them and put a good chassis on them. I love my D1's, they are some of the best skates i have ever used.
