Is there any relation to the Steel City Snipers of MLRH?

Its just not fun unless you stand in front of it!

Yes. As I said, more details in the press release coming out in a day or two. I just wanted to jump the gun so I could have IHA be the first post on the new "pro" forum.

Yokes:

Yes. It is the same Sniper team that plays in MLRH.

I have a lot of guys on the team who want to play "full contact" hockey in the "summer." Also, due to the geographical location of some of the teams in IHA, as well as those cities earmarked for entry into the league in the future, the Snipers will finally be playing teams within a three hour drive of the Steel City.
As you may be aware, the Snipers traveled six plus hours across the state (PA) to play MLRH. It was a "big challenge and responsibility" and, overall, the guys "did it" and "did it well" - without complaint.

Finally, by joining IHA, now, the team will be able to "try-out" our new home facility, SportPlex, located in Sewickley, PA.
If we have any problems with the facility (i.e. floor surface) we'll have them straighten out before the start of the MLRH season.

From what I remember about the rules of MLRH, teams are prohibited from competing in other leagues using the same name. You better look into that, Ralph, if you want to stay in MLRH for next season.

Maybe one team being the Pittsburg Snipers and the other (MLRH) the Steel City Snipers is enough differentiation.
